uKind, Inc has announced uKind 1.1, a first-of-its kind social networking app for iOS devices. Free and requiring no registration, uKind allows anyone to express gratitude to people around them for any act of kindness by sending a "Kindness Point" from a list of Facebook friends, Twitter followers, via email or a phone number. Users receive and accumulate Kindness Points from others for their acts of kindness and can redeem them for gift cards and other goods via mPOINTS within the app.
Marina del Rey, California - uKind, Inc has announced the release of uKind 1.1 in the App Store. This application is the first of its kind. Free and requiring no registration, uKind allows anyone to express gratitude to people around them for any act of kindness. A user can express gratitude and acknowledge kind acts by sending a "Kindness Point" from a list of Facebook friends, Twitter followers, via email or a phone number. Along with the "Kindness Point" the user sends a gratitude message that she/he either chooses from a list of canned thank you phrases or types her/his own.
Once the "Kindness Point" is sent the user has a choice to make her/his thank you message (or a description of the kind act) available for public release on the Kindness Wall within the application. Messages can also be made available on Facebook or Twitter. "Kindness Points" are accumulated by the recipient within the application and their number is seen in parentheses next to the user's name on the Kindness Wall. The sender of "Kindness Points" receives one "Kindness Point" back for every 10 points that she/he sends. The more "Kindness Points" a user receives, the higher her/his aptitude for kindness. Accumulated "Kindness Points" can also be redeemed for gift cards and other goods from major retailers like Amazon, Best Buy, Starbucks and others via mPOINTS application integrated within uKind.
In addition to making someone happy by acknowledging her/his kind act, the sender of the "Kindness Point" engages in a so-called happiness-boosting activity by expressing gratitude. Research in positive psychology recognizes that happiness-boosting activities, such as expression of gratitude, have a long-lasting effect on an individual's well-being, promote her/his mental and physical health, and have antidepressant effect.

"The Doray Family had been born from the magic of music and stayed with me. Often, it's a phrase, a word association, or even seemingly random syllables, that inspire my writing. They become my touchstone or the song that I can't get out of my head. For the Doray Family, when I started out, I had no idea where the story would take me. Pretty quickly, however, the idea of a family with names linked to the musical scale became the centerpiece. I also realized fairly soon in the process that I wanted each character to have an instrument related to one of the musical notes. This dual requirement opened up some doors while closing some others as I stayed within the confines of the musical theme. The rest just came out of my fingers as I typed," said the author, Juliette Dharmadhikari.
The story is written by Juliette Dharmadhikari, illustrated by Sophie Guerlais with a soundtrack by Alexis Collin. The French version is read by French actor and comedian Fred Testot. It was released in 2014 as two interactive ebooks, one in French and one in English. The current app is presented by La Dentelliere Digital Publisher in bilingual format and brings the two language versions together in one place. The English version was translated by Eve Lindemuth Bodeux.

Sunflower seeds are planted in a garden, and children choose the weather each day to make the plants grow. If they choose the right weather, the plants will develop; but if they choose too much sun (and no rain), the plants will dry out and eventually die; or if they choose snow for more than one day, the plants will die due to the cold!

In the app, sunflower seeds are planted in a garden, and children need to choose the weather each day to make the plants grow. Children will be able to view a chart showing the choices made on each day. There is a reporting option to enable children's progress to be checked by a teacher or a parent. Elm Grove, Wisconsin - Sovereign Share LLC today is pleased to announce the release of invisi 1.0.7, its new private messaging app developed for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch devices. By design, invisi does not require the systematic cooperation of a recipient device to revoke access to a message. Additionally, invisi messages are only stored on Sovereign Share's servers in encrypted form until the recipient device retrieves it, at which point the encrypted message is permanently deleted from the server.
Under the covers invisi uses a minimum 4096bit RSA / 256bit symmetric encryption wrapper, twice, to protect each message. This level of security is already well above most messaging platforms, but invisi takes it a step further. Before a message is in transit, it is further encrypted using 256bit symmetric encryption and our servers' 4096bit public key. Finally, it is transmitted over SSL which provides yet another layer of protection. Some might call that overkill, but with recently discovered vulnerabilities in SSL, we don't take any chances.
Of course the user doesn't have to understand the technical workings and all this security is afforded them through a very intuitive, easy-to-use interface. invisi features all the bells and whistles we have come to expect with a truly security-centric design.
