Rome, Italy - Independent developer, Alessandro Ferrazza, has released his challenging and imaginative mobile app, The Dot - a logic game. However this is no ordinary logic game of random puzzles. The Dot takes players on an exciting journey, beginning with a tale of how the Dot came to be. On a stormy night, a designer is working in his studio when an alien spaceship attempts to abduct him. When lightning strikes however, the abduction is compromised and the designer is stuck in a ball of energy with his pencil. Seconds later the ball of energy collapses and disappears with the designer, letting the pencil drop onto the paper below. The drawings on the paper erase, leaving only a small black dot. Do players have what it takes to wield the dot's energy and power?
The Dot is composed of 96 levels of increasing difficulty. Each level is unique, with no repeating schemes. Players won't encounter puzzles or storylines like these in any another logic game, giving players of this app the challenge of a lifetime. As they embark on the journey with the Dot, players will encounter a rich variety of objects and obstacles. They'll meet treadmills, rotating cubes, and lasers, varying ink colors that grant special powers, bizarre cars and helicopters. Before they can move onto the next level however, players must complete the puzzle presented to them.
"I wanted to create a game that would test a player's thinking but in a way that was engaging and unique," explains Alessandro Ferrazza. "While each level is different, they're always connected by the powerful dot."
In addition to the imaginative story and complex challenges, the app features amazing 3D graphics. Players appear to be playing on paper that changes from level to level. One level a player may be playing on graph paper then the next they'll be on lined notebook paper. The objects and obstacles in the game appear to be hand drawn but extremely well-rendered, making for a unique and visually appealing game experience.
While each level increases in complexity, the controls of the game are simple. Players simply have to touch the screen or rotate their mobile device to move the Dot through the level. Players are also able to see how others are doing with the statistics tab, which allows players to compare the level they've reached to others, adding the extra thrill of competition. Are players among the many stuck at the beginning levels? Or are players among the few who can reach the very end?
With an abundant amount of levels and complex puzzles, The Dot is a game made for people unafraid of challenge. The question is: can they harness the Dot's power and make it through all 96 levels?

Alessandro Ferrazza is a physician specialized in Internal Medicine. His passion for computers started few years ago when he created his first website and freely distributed some medicine guides. Subsequently, he fell in love with real programming, particularly in the mobile field which led me to create two medical applications. The first one was Emergency drugs, only for iPhone and iPod, pretty simple. It contains tabs of the most common drugs used in emergency and by entering weight and route of administration it gives back dosages and information about infusion. The other application, Graphic Blood Gas Analysis, helps in interpreting blood gas analysis. Finally he switched to 3D graphics (Open GE ES 2.0) with a game based on simulation of physics. Since March 21st, the new version 1.4 of The Lost Tower has been available for download on the iOS platform. Lots of features were added to the game. The most important new one is a special synthesis feature of epic monsters: players can spend money to acquire a specific epic monster by synthesizing two random source epic monsters. In addition, a Charge Pack feature has been introduced. The Charge Pack gradually fills up when energy is consumed. The Charge Pack can increase EXP. and money gained in certain challenges.
Except for the general optimization, there are more improvements on the rewards from activities. Specifically, a free hit is offered to each grand boss when a new round of the activity The Saga Trials opens. In the same activity, Legend Fragment's drop rate has been raised. In addition, Legend Fragment is now possible to drop from the wheel after passing the veteran and expert mode of Thorny Forest and Barren Land.
In order to make the gameplay completely fair, the new update features some extra adjustments of the rewards. Money dropped from the wheel has been raised after passing Team Mode: Underwater Silver Mine. Direct money reward has been cancelled after passing level challenges. However, money dropped from the wheel has been raised. Some other improvements in the new update will make the game more enjoyable for players. Requirement to unlock Team Mode has been changed for the better. Concerning Underwater Silver Mine, the requirements are different. Players can now unlock the higher level Underwater Silver Mine by climbing up to higher floors on the Lost Tower. Besides, Underwater Silver Mine is now available every day.
The multi-language versions have also been adjusted. Significant translation improvements have been made to certain languages (including pop-up notification, monster description, activity, skill.) For example, more suitable names of activities and skills have been introduced. There will be a further improvement of the multi-language version in an upcoming update. Version 1.4.1 is already pending review. It will offer an even better display of the text in different languages.

Users can also analyze HTTP headers sent over the network by their devices and discover POST data sent in clear over the network. This is particularly helpful to developers who want to check in an instant if their network development is on track. Furthermore, Debookee contains an SIP plug-in that computes all VoIP traffic in real-time and displays all SIP signaling, reporting the duration and number of RTP packets for each call.

As players progress through the game as their chosen hero, they will collect cards for a satisfying reward. There are four types of cards: Ability, Skill, Special, and Item. The cards can be combined with others, strengthened and upgraded. If players don't pay attention to their card collection, they risk not moving forward in the game.
"It's not just an action game, it's a card game too, with plenty of exciting play and spectacular graphics," says Lena Kwon. "Without the cards, players can't reach higher levels."
