A new feature in the recent update of Fonteer, the font installation app by Design Luscinia, allows users to install fonts without having to send an email to themselves. More than a useful improvement, over 80% of customer support cases were caused by issues with email, this feature is now available for download on any device supporting iOS 8 or higher. Fonteer gives users the option to use any font in a growing list of apps including Keynote, Pages, Numbers, PowerPoint, Word, Excel and more.

"It shocked us that an established medium such as email proved to be so unreliable in the installation process!" said Jack Goossen. "Attachments got corrupted due to mail server misconfigurations at email providers, limits on attachment size prevented installation and some of our clients did not have an email account set up on their iPhone or iPad. Most users can work around these issues, but by taking email out of the loop we make their lives easier."
Fonteer is targeted to typography enthusiasts and business professionals. Since its release at the end of last year Fonteer has been downloaded more than 25,000 times and holds an average rating of 4 and a half stars. By making the Google Fonts and Font Squirrel libraries available within the app it is easier than ever to select the perfect font for a presentation or art collage. Company fonts can be downloaded via email or browser to prevent awkward font substitutions.
"Our updates to Fonteer since its release shows our commitment to creating the best experience for our users," said Goossen. "More and more people are using their mobile devices to create content. Being able to use the fonts of your choice is a 'must' for your creative identity. Fonteer gives you just that on your iPhone or iPad."
There is a free version of Fonteer available that allows potential users to check if the app meets their needs. The free version is fully functional with the exception that it only allows up to three font installs. For $1.99, users can upgrade to the premium version allowing unlimited installs.
