Avalanche is designed to convert catalogs of photographs from one application to another while keeping the organisational structures intact, ensuring all metadata flows without losse and image adjustments are replicated with the best possible results. All keywords are converted with full support for hierarchies.
Montpellier, France - The CYME team is proud to announce the release and immediate availability of Avalanche 1.0, the new photo migration software for macOS with machine learning capabilities. Avalanche is designed to convert catalogs of photographs from one application to another while keeping the organisational structures intact, ensuring all metadata flows without losses and image adjustments are replicated with the best possible results.
Avalanche for Lightroom, the first version of Avalanche, focuses on providing a solution for photographers with photos stuck in Apple Aperture that isn't supported anymore by Apple. Since the release of Catalina, Aperture users can't rely on launching Aperture anymore to access their photo libraries. Avalanche allows a smooth transfer of the libraries towards other applications : today towards Lightroom or folders and soon towards other applications like Luminar, CaptureOne and others.
"We designed Avalanche because we were not satisfied by the existing solutions - when they existed - to migrate our many photo catalogs out of Aperture." says Matthieu Kopp, CYME co founder and CTO. "We realized that being able to switch our preferred cataloging/app was important as many great photo edition apps exist in this space. Being able to move all our images with metadata, organisation structure and some edits was opening new perspectives and giving us a much wanted freedom of choice."
But Avalanche does not stop here. "We wanted to ensure that everything that was present in the source catalog was converted even if it looked hard or impossible. Therefore Avalanche converts Faces and recreates them, not as keywords like other solutions do, but as real face detections in the destination catalog. Avalanche not only does a great job at opening and converting those catalogs, but we added some unique Machine Learning capabilities to transfer a number of adjustments. And when Avalanche estimates that a picture has adjustments that are too complex to migrate, it places the image in a dedicated album for the user to review after conversion."

SheetPlanner 1.2 offers numerous improvements and new features. Among the new features is the ability select multiple items from a drop down list enabling the population of multiple values in a list column cell. You can also type in the cell to auto-complete items, separating multiple with commas.
List cells for parent rows now offer a Summary value calculation, that results in all of the values used by child cells.
The new Picture column type allows users to include images in a cell. Picture cells are displayed as a thumbnail and can quickly be viewed in full via Quick Look. Images can be dragged or pasted into Picture cells. Picture cells can be a fixed size, fit to the width of the column or the height of the row.
Custom cell styles provide the ability to to set custom styles for individual cells via the Format menu and in a newly enhanced style editor in the inspector

The big new feature in version 7.0 is a search capability that allows for both simple and complex searches. There are two fields that can accommodate either words or phrases. If a second word or phrase is supplied, then the user has the choice of three operands for how the fields are evaluated: "AND", "OR" and "But Not". As the user enter or changes their values, an instantaneous display is given of how many records will be found. Pressing the "Results" button then displays the full list of matches found.
In the "Access My Records" section, each food serving for the day is listed in it's own section and the total daily amount of the nutrient is included in the day's heading. This makes comparing nutrient intake for each day an easy task.

The iSugars app provides information about foods and how they are rated for content of sugars. This is provided as a means to assist in deciding which foods to eat. The food servings are rated from EXTREMELY LOW in sugars all the way up to EXTREMELY HIGH. The following colors help readily identify which is which:
* Black = EXTREMELY HIGH in Sugars (40.01 - 166.46 g)
* Dark Red = VERY HIGH in Sugars (30.01 - 40.00 g)
* Red = HIGH in Sugars (20.01 - 30.0 g)
* Orange = MODERATELY HIGH in Sugars (15.01 - 20.00 g)
* Yellow = MODERATE in Sugars (10.01 - 15.00 g)
* Light Green = MODERATELY LOW in Sugars (5.01 - 10.00 g)
* Green = LOW in Sugars (1.01 - 5.00 g)
* Cyan = VERY LOW in Sugars (0.01 - 1.00 g)
* White = EXTREMELY LOW in Sugars (0.00 g)
Users interested in multiple nutrients should be aware of the "iNutrients App", which includes all ten of the above listed nutrients. Instead of the USDA partial selection of foods used in the individual iNutrient apps, the iNutrients app includes all foods and food servings in the entire USDA National Nutrient Database for those nutrients. It also includes the capability for altering the color scale for each nutrient if desired. And Custom Foods can be created for those not included in the USDA database. Even an entire meal's nutrient information could be included in a single Custom Food definition to make entry even simpler. The iNutrients app is available for less than the cost of two individual iNutrient apps.
