Movavi today announces Movavi Screen Capture 1.4, an update to their popular screen recording tool for Mac OS X. The new version of this handy recording tool, with its customizable capture area and high quality MPEG-4 H.264 codec screencasts, now enables users to convert files to their preferred format immediately. Also new in this version is system sound recording, which enables users to create high quality screencasts, video guides with voice-overs and other types of demonstration materials.

The new version of this handy recording tool, with its customizable capture area and high quality MPEG-4 H.264 codec screencasts, now enables users to convert files to their preferred format immediately. Users can choose from dozens of ready-made presets: AVI, MP4, FLV, MKV, MPEG, Apple's native MOV format, and many more, as well as optimized presets for mobile devices, including the brand new iPhone 5S / iPhone 5C, iPad Air, and iPad Mini, plus Android devices, Nokia, Samsung, LG, Blackberry smartphones, and other popular brands.

Also new in this version is system sound recording, which enables users to create high quality screencasts, video guides with voice-overs and other types of demonstration materials. In earlier versions, users had to install a free additional utility to record system sounds; now they can do it simply by selecting System Sound in the Audio settings.

The updated version of Movavi Screen Capture for Mac also includes user experience improvements: when minimized, the app icon in the system tray shows start / stop recording buttons and displays the duration of captured screen video so users don't have to maximize the application screen to get this information.

Individual licenses for Movavi Screen Capture for Mac with the built-in system sound recording, are available for purchase on the company's official website at $29.95. In the Apple App Store, the program is available for $29.99 (USD). Please note that the App Store version does not include the system sound recording tool because of restrictions applied by the store; however, users can download this utility and install it from within the application itself.
