Independent developer RJ Cooling today announces Next Letter 1.2 for iOS, an update to his addictive word game. Designed to be entertaining and educational, Next Letter is a fast-paced letter search game with 3 different modes of play. Similar to traditional word search games, Next Letter has players search for the letters that make up a target word and are randomly scattered throughout the grid. There are over 5,000 words to find and 3 levels of difficulty for each game mode.

Lincolnshire, United Kingdom - Independent developer RJ Cooling today is pleased to announce the release and immediate availability to Next Letter 1.2, an update to his addictive word game for iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch devices. Similar to traditional word search games, Next Letter is a fast-paced letter search game that is designed to be entertaining and educational.

Scattered throughout a grid are each of the letters needed to make up a target word listed at the top of the screen. Players must search for the randomly scattered letters that make up each target word. Each letter can only be used once per word and there are over 5,000 different words to find. Next Letter can also be customized, offering three different font choices and the option to view letters in upper case or lower case.

"(Next Letter) should keep even the shortest of attention spans occupied," says Daniel Celeste of App Advice (28 October 2013). "Since the concept of simply searching for letters seems easy, I was surprised to discover how challenging Next Letter actually is."

Feature Highlights:
* Easy to play
* Over 5,000 words to find
* 3 different game modes
* 3 levels of difficulty for each game mode
* Increases vocabulary and spelling skills
* Choice of upper or lower case letters
* 3 different fonts to choose from
* Game-center enabled
* Universal app for all iOS devices

Released in October 2013, the Classic game mode challenges players to find as many letters as they can and amass as many points as they can before the 2-minute bar at the top of the screen completely drains. For each letter guessed correctly, the player gains a point. If the player makes an incorrect guess, they lose a point. There are 3 levels of difficulty in Classic game mode: Easy, Medium, and Hard. Each level adds longer words to find in a larger grid of letters.

Version 1.2 adds two new game modes for players: Sprint and Survival. In Sprint game mode, players race against the clock to find a selected number of words in the shortest amount of time possible. There are 3 levels of difficulty in Sprint mode. Depending on which level of difficulty they choose, players can search for 10, 20, or 30 words as quickly as possible.

Similar to Classic game mode, Survival game mode has players race the clock to get the highest score they can. Each time the player completes a word, the timer resets. However, the player gets less time to find the next word. Therefore, the longer the player takes to complete a word, the less time they have. Like Classic and Sprint game modes, there are 3 levels of difficulty in Survival game mode, with each level adding longer words to find in a larger grid of letters.

All 3 modes of Next Letter allow players to compare their scores and post challenges to friends on Game Center. They can also easily share their scores on Facebook and Twitter. Each game mode keeps track of the player's stats broken down by which level of difficulty they played, words found, and games played. Classic and Survival game modes also track how many total points the player has scored.

"Next Letter is an exciting, fast paced and addictive game that sharpens your mind and expands your vocabulary," says RJ Cooling, founder of 3fold Studios. "It's ideal for anyone who is looking to improve their spelling abilities or reflexes. In addition to the App store, Next Letter is also available on the Amazon App store, Google Play, and Samsung Apps."
