Zombie Game Created by a Ten-Year-Old Kid Hits 1 Million Downloads - Published on 03/20/14

Zombies: Run or Kill, a game developed and published by Peaksel LLC is only one in the pile of zombie games on Google Play and App Store. But it is among the top ones and quite amazingly the game was developed by a 10-year-old kid. At first sight, the game seems pretty simple. The zombies have metal machetes instead of arms, and some of them are completely made of steel while others are Hulk Zombies. Zombies: Run or Kill is perfect for kids from 8 to 14 years old.

Nis, Serbia - Most of the games nowadays are created by an experienced team of developers, designers, programmers and other team members, but the question is what happens when you give a chance to a kid with a vivid imagination and a passion for drawing crazy creatures. What happens is Zombies: Run or Kill 1.4, a game with more than 1 million downloads! The game is developed and published by Peaksel Company, but the basic concept and the idea for this game was born in the head of young Luka Pavlovic.

The founder of Peaksel LLC, Marko Petkovic explains how this game is developed "At the time Zombies RoK was developed, our primary focus was on the dress up games and other similar games for girls. One day, young Luka came to visit us, and he said that he had a great idea for an awesome zombie shooting game. He gave us a few details about the game, and we liked it. I asked my team if we could do it, they were really eager about it, especially the guys who got a little bored from all the girlish games, and a few months later, Zombies: Run or Kill was launched. Honestly, no one could imagine this huge success of the game."

At first sight, the game seems pretty simple - elementary and straightforward animations, all the graphics are based on the kid's instructions, especially the zombies that have metal machetes instead of arms, and some of them are completely made of steel while others are Hulk Zombies. All these combined together could not possibly give more than a mediocre game, like bunch of other games on the market.

But now, with more than 1 million downloads on Google Play market only, and more than 1,500,000 downloads in global, and all that in just a few months make this zombie game pretty popular and uncommon. The game was first released for Android devices, but after the players successfully accepted it, the iOS version was released. Bearing all this in mind, it is quite obvious why the majority of players of this game are kids from 8 to 14 years old. This group of players obviously shares with Luka the idea of what is 'cool' and they don't mind simple animations and the entire gameplay just seems to work perfectly fine for them.
