Geneva-based iwaxx today announces Debookee 3.0.1 for OS X, an update to their packet-capture tool and network analyzer. Debookee intercepts and reports traffic from any device currently on a network, including iPhone, iPad, Android, PC, Mac, and others. Users are able to analyze the traffic of devices that cannot support packet-capture, such as mobile, tablets, etc. Debookee features real-time packet capture analysis to extract requests details such as HTTP, DNS, TCP, DHCP and SIP.

Geneva, Switzerland - iwaxx today is pleased to announce the release and immediate availability of Debookee 3.0.1, an update to their packet-capture tool and network analyzer for OS X. Debookee allows users to track and analyze devices that are currently connected to their network. This provides users with a strategy to determine if their communications are truly private on their network for example, and to developpers if their applications talk normally to servers in the cloud.

Feature Highlights:
* Friendly graphical user interface
* Analyzes network traffic simply and easily
* Displays most important and vulgarized information seen in the packet flow
* Intercepts traffic from any device on network
* Real-time capture analysis
* No network interruption
* Supports HTTP, HTTPS, DNS, TCP, DHCP, SIP, and RTP
* Auto-detects interfaces
* VoIP traffic analysis
* Enhanced version of LanScan integrated

Debookee will intercept traffic from any device on a network, including iPhone, iPad, Android, Blackberry, PC, Mac, and others. This enables users to analyze the traffic of devices that cannot support packet-capture, such as mobile, tablets, etc. With no network interruption, Debookee can complete a scan of your network and display IP addresses, MAC addresses, and vendors associated to discovered devices.

Debookee delivers real-time packet capture analysis in a friendly graphical user interface. Instead of overwhelming the user with RAW packets, Debookee displays only the most important and vulgarized information usually found in the packet flow. As a result, Debookee supports extraction of requests details from HTTP, HTTPS, DNS, TCP, DHCP, SIP, and RTP protocols.

To perform an initial scan on the user's network, a version of LanScan Pro is integrated in Debookee. This allows the application to auto-detect interfaces including Airport, Ethernet, and Virtual interfaces. The scan displays the IP address, MAC address, and vendor associated, and features hostname resolution. Users can also analyze HTTP headers sent over the network by their devices and discover POST data sent in clear over the network. This is particularly helpful to developers who want to check in an instant if their network development is on track. Furthermore, Debookee contains an SIP plug-in that computes all VoIP traffic in real-time and displays all SIP signaling, reporting the duration and number of RTP packets for each call.

Debookee analyzes the network traffic of any device in three easy steps. First, Debookee scans the network and identifies the devices in use. The user then selects the device, or target, that they would like to be analyzed. With a simple click, Debookee provides a comprehensive report so users can analyze the traffic.

"Currently, there is no easy way to analyze network traffic on a vast majority of devices due to technical restrictions," explains Thomas Baudelet, founder of iwaxx. "We created Debookee as a way for even the most non-technical user to effectively track and analyze network traffic. Even though most of our users are mobile developer who want to check how their applications are running on a network and troubleshoot any issues, others simply use Debookee to scan and see what devices are accessing their network. Debookee delivers useful and effective analysis that even the average Joe can interpret. Version 3.0.1 implements the ability to scan other networks than the local one (Internet, VPN networks, etc.) and fixed some bugs in the application. In the very near future, Debookee will also support IPv6, UPnP, more details on HTTP answers, and we're working on an easy way to inspect encrypted SSL traffic."

System Requirements:
* OS X 10.7 or later
* Intel, 64-bit processor

Pricing and Availability:
Debookee 3.0.1 is free to download from the iwaxx website. The free version of Debookee includes the full evaluation with all features but hide some results of the analysis after some times. The full version of Debookee that enables the viewing of all results is available for $24.90 (USD).
