KWEST - The Mind's Personal Coach Launches - Published on 04/24/14

The Think-Grow initiative has launched KWEST 1.0 for iOS, its new mobile game which combines mystery and problem solving, with different tracks of quizzes and trivia, and a number of brain training mini games. KWEST is an iOS game that takes intelligent games to a higher level of engagement and utility, by focusing on key ingredients like valuable knowledge, mystery and problem solving, measurability, challenges and strategic game play, and mental development.

Cupertino, California - The Think-Grow initiative has launched its major mobile game, KWEST 1.0, which combines mystery and problem solving, with different tracks of quizzes and trivia, and a number of brain training mini games. The different elements are brought together in an enjoyable and entertaining experience with serious intellectual benefits. KWEST puts a twist on quiz games, brain training games, and mystery solving games, blending them into an entertaining and challenging mix.

The Player's Experience:
In KWEST, the player's main goal is to build up the tower of Wisdom. With each new Era, the Player adds a floor to the Tower, and possibly unlocks one of the secret missions. Each Era (Level) corresponds to a stage in intellectual development. Advancing through the Eras of Wisdom happens as the player goes through different tracks of questions in the Knowledge Path, and as he/she trains his/her mental muscles in the Brain Arena.

The Components:
KWEST's Knowledge Path has four major Topics (The World & Sciences, Logic & Maths, Human Eyes, and Deeper Thoughts), and each of these Topics is further sub-divided into sub-topics. All the questions are selected for their value in their field, and aim to give the player exposure to important concepts and ideas within an area. Difficulty increases as the player succeeds in moving upward. The Brain Arena, on the other hand, aims at improving the player's mental speed, concentration, and memory skills, by training him/her using different types of arithmetic questions that gradually increase in difficulty too. Players can augment their game play in the Brain Arena and Knowledge Path by using the magical aids found in the Beyond area.

A number of different challenges, brain teasers, riddles, symbols, and hidden objects lay everywhere in the game awaiting discovery and solving. Also, in addition to KWEST's flexibility and breadth, it offers players comprehensive measures to understand their progress, results, and improvement. It also includes different leaderboards and achievements via game center, so that players can compare their results and challenge friends. KWEST can be downloaded for iOS from the App Store.

More on KWEST's Philosophy:
KWEST - in a way - is meant to be a metaphor for the mind, as it tries to mimic the 'DIKW' (Data-Information-Knowledge-Wisdom) pyramid. It tries to move the player towards unlocking the Tower (Wisdom), by building up his/her Intelligence Skills in the Brain Arena (Data & Information Processing), and letting him/her learn and pass the Knowledge Path (Knowledge). Each new Era of Wisdom (through the Tower's Levels) explains this similarity further.

KWEST is about trivia in one sense only: If Trivia is meant as in its original meaning: a meeting point of three roads, where these three roads are Intelligence, Knowledge, and Wisdom.. in KWEST - as in life - the first two lead to the third. In this sense, KWEST is an example of the power of games that can deliver complex concepts in a manner that is both fun and entertaining.

The initiative behind KWEST is also the producer of the Think-Grow Knowledge Modules, which include book summaries, quizzes, and different learning tools on a number of general and professional interest topics. KWEST came as the result of many iterations, and after many shifts in its mission. It was originally designed as a complementary to the Think-Grow Knowledge Modules, but later on got expanded and improved into a full game with a unique entertainment and intellectual offering. KWEST is the jewel of Think-Grow's flavor of casual games, which includes titles like Ancient Mystery, Pixelated, and Fast Focus. All Material and Software (C) Copyright 2014 Think-Grow.
