Irvine, California - Play Day LLC has announced the release of Smacky School 1.0 for iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch devices. Smacky School is the first ever multiplayer racing game in the App Store that pits one school versus the other. Users can choose to earn points for their elementary and middle school, their high school, or college. The more games played and points earned, the higher the user's selected school will rank in the leaderboards.
Feature Highlights:
* First ever multiplayer iOS game that incorporates users playing for school honor
* Over 30,000 schools to choose from
* All schools compete against each other
* First ever ability to check school rank and leaderboards
* Retro-style Game Play and User Interface
* Single and multiplayer gameplay
* Challenging to the point of insanity
* "God" mode offers special boosts
* Share school rank through social media
* Gameplay becomes progressively more challenging
* Game Center enabled
Gameplay for Smacky School is straightforward and easy to learn. After selecting the school they'd like to earn points for, players choose to play in single player or multiplayer mode (To access multiplayer mode, players must be signed in to Game Center). The start of the race is indicated by a 3-2-1 countdown. To successfully run through the obstacle course of mushrooms, players tap the left side of the screen to jump over the mushrooms and tap on the right side to slide under the mushrooms. If the player's runner hits an obstacle, the game ends. As the game progresses, it becomes more challenging with additional distractions such as flying birds, billboards, and even earthquakes.
Smacky School's database includes over 30,000 different elementary and middle schools, high schools, and colleges. Schools compete equally against one another so an elementary school might compete against a middle school or a high school or even a college. Smacky School is the first-ever multiplayer iOS game that incorporates players playing for their school honor.
Smacky School allows users to share updates, scores, and school ranks through Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, SMS, and email. Leaderboards display both the school's rank and the Top 25 Schools and their point value.
"Although a simple two-tap game, Smacky School is anything but easy," says Play Day LLC founder, Manny Coats. "If you like Flappy Bird, then you'll probably love Smacky School, because it brings the same kind of difficulty needed to pass even just one obstacle, making it highly addictive. We've seen office productivity drop to almost nothing during 'Smacky School' competitions. It's the perfect game to play in short bursts, wherever you're at."

* iPad, iPhone, or iPod touch
* Requires iOS 5.0 or later
* 40.2 MB
