Jason Van der Schyff and Letcia Costa today introduce BrazilEats 1.0.0, available exclusively on the App Store. BrazilEats was conceived as a mobile App to help non-Portuguese speaking travelers decipher local menus. In addition to menu translations and a phrasebook, BrazilEats includes a local restaurant listing for all 12 venues for the World Cup. Hand picked by the BrazilEats team, nearby restaurants are conveniently shown on a map, along with turn-by-turn directions.

San Francisco, California - The San Francisco based, Australian/Brazilian, duo of Jason Van der Schyff and Letcia Costa today are proud to announce the release of BrazilEats 1.0.0, available exclusively on the App Store.

Costa, a native of Brazil conceived the idea of a mobile App to help non-Portuguese speaking travelers decipher local menus. "It's tough traveling to a country where you don't speak the language," she said. "Food is one of the greatest features of Brazil and with such unique cuisine we wanted to make sure that with an influx of travelers they wouldn't revert to hamburgers or pizzas. Although, they say the pizzas of So Paulo are some of the best in the world!"

In addition to menu translations and a phrasebook, BrazilEats includes a local restaurant listing for all 12 venues for the World Cup. Hand picked by the BrazilEats team, nearby restaurants are conveniently shown on a map, along with turn-by-turn directions.

Leveraging the native speaking capabilities of Apple's iOS7, BrazilEats also includes an In-App Purchase to ensure correct pronunciation of all 450 phrases and the 65,000+ word dictionary further helping to break the language barrier.

For those travelling to enjoy the countries national pass time, a complete match schedule for the World Cup is included along with live scoring once the competition kicks off June 12. Live scoring continues in July for the Brazilian Series A competition.
