Let's Use Language provides Speech Language Pathologists, Teachers, and Parents with 40 premium lessons and the power to create their own lessons from scratch. Using a story based approach, Let's Use Language promotes literacy and aligns with Common Core State Standards.

Let's Use Language's 40 standard lessons focus on the language concepts of: Curriculum Vocabulary, Sequencing, Categories, and Opposites. Language concepts are taught through a story based approach, where the user reads a short story and answers relevant questions. This provides a context for language learning while supporting the literacy emphasis of the Common Core State Standards. The standard lessons in Let's Use Language may be used to support Common Core Anchor Standards for Language, specifically Knowledge of Language, and Vocabulary Acquisition and Use.

Each lesson in Let's Use Language comes with an interactive Q&A section designed to promote retention and provide feedback to the child. Custom illustrations accompany each question and provide a visual context for language.

Let's Use Language provides incredible flexibility by providing users with an easy, intuitive way to create their own lessons. Users can write their own stories, questions, and answers, and use their own pictures to create an interactive experience in minutes. This flexibility allows users to turn real life events, such as a field trip or a social gathering into a teachable moment. Users can create content to meet the specific learning needs of any child.

Following up on the success of their first app, Let's be Social, Everyday Speech wanted to quickly address the needs of their customers. "Our users really liked the framework of Let's be Social. We kept hearing that they wanted to use the same format to teach other concepts besides social skills. After doing some more digging, we decided language development was the right way to go", said Cal Brunell, Co-founder of Everyday Speech. Brittany Lehane, CCC-SLP, Co-founder of Everyday Speech, spoke about how user feedback drove the creation of the curriculum in Let's Use Language. "Through testing content with our existing users, we found that our story-based approach really struck a chord", Lehane said. "We were able to really nail down the four biggest language concepts that Speech Language Pathologists wanted: Vocabulary, Sequencing, Categories, and Opposites. We were also able to determine the right way to deliver content - piggybacking on the Common Core emphasis on literacy", added
