Box Of Frogs Media has announced the release of the first in a series of picture book apps, Little Sophie's Big Adventures Sophie and the Sea. The book tells the story of a little girl called Sophie and her Granny. They build a sandcastle, but while they're having lunch, the tide comes in & begins to wash it away. Sophie must learn that nothing lasts forever but she can always build another sandcastle. Sophie and the Sea contains beautiful illustrations by Emily Wallis & voice-over by Marina Burton.

Brighton, United Kingdom - Box of Frogs Media has announced the release of their new appbook, 'Little Sophie's Big Adventures: Sophie and the Sea', the first in a two-part series of interactive books. Sophie and the Sea tells the story of a little girl called Sophie and her Granny. One beautiful Spring day they go to the seaside. They collect pebbles and stones and build a sandcastle, "fit for a Sea Princess". While they're having lunch, the tide comes in and begins to wash away their sandcastle. Sophie must learn that nothing lasts forever, but she can always return to the beach and build another sandcastle for the Sea Princess.

The book was based in Studland Bay, Dorset and is clearly recognisable from the beautiful illustrations by Emily Wallis. Each page includes hidden interactions that range from simple animations to hidden mini-games. Tap around to explore each scene - but make sure you have the sound turned up as the original music score is beautiful, calming and incredibly atmospheric. The voice-over is read by local VO artist Marina Burton and her serene English accent completes this very calming, soothing book to read at bedtime.

The picture book app is set across beautifully illustrated pages with games to play along way, including sorting shells, hidden object and even a skipping game. This is a classic, gentle family read and makes a great summer story.
