Scandinavian-based 7 Magic Islands today announces that their interactive storybook iOS app, World's Best, has been named a Mom's Choice Award winner, which recognizes excellence in family-friendly media and products. World's Best 1.1 stimulates imaginations by inviting children to read and even participate in this pirate adventure. World's Best allows kids to insert a photo of themselves and become part of the story as they learn about the life of a pirate.

Stockholm, Sweden - 7 Magic Islands today is pleased to announce that their interactive storybook iOS app, World's Best, has been named a Mom's Choice Award winner. The Mom's Choice Awards is an international awards program that recognizes authors, inventors, companies, parents, and others for their efforts in creating excellent family-friendly media, products, and services. With a protocol that relies on experts and entrepreneurs, such as Dr. Twila C. Liggett (founder of PBS's Reading Rainbow) and Julie Aigner-Clark (inventor of Baby Einstein), in addition to consumers, Mom's Choice Awards "only puts their name and seal behind products that are thoughtfully made and inspire families." Following vigorous evaluation and testing, the Mom's Choice Awards determined that World's Best 1.1 for iOS exceeded their evaluation standards in the preschooler apps division and awarded their Seal of Excellence.

World's Best is an immersive storybook app that tells the story about the most daring and dangerous pirates from all over the world taking part in the World's Best Pirate competition. World's Best offers two different portrait mode settings. In the Original Picture mode, the portrait of Captain Salty Dog is featured as the main character on all pages of the story and children can simply read along. In the Use My Own Picture mode, kids can actively participate in the pirate adventure by placing their own portrait onto the main character's face. Kids can upload a photo of themselves or take a picture with their device's camera to become an integral part of the story. With Jackson the Pirate at their side, kids can hunt for buried treasure, fire the cannons, and race the other pirates to be named the World's Best Pirate.

In addition to inviting children to actively participate in the pirate adventure with their portrait, World's Best provides further customization for readers. Although the story is professionally narrated, the voiceover setting can be turned off so the child can practice reading aloud. Likewise, the music and sound effects can also be turned on/off. Under the Pages icon, users can easily jump to their favorite page in the story by utilizing the Visual Index.
