Real Fireworks HD app launches in an automatic fireworks show mode. User can still use the swipe gesture to add more fireworks. The app has seven different preset modes, including one that allows you to draw your own images. The app includes multitouch controls, five color options, the ability to capture and share your works of art, and TV-out support.

When turning off the automatic fireworks show mode, the app can be used as an interactive visualizer that responds to the swipe gesture. Disabling both the automatic show and sound generates more particles when touching the screen. The best user experience can be achieved when connecting the iPad to a TV using a TV-Out kit or Airplay.
