Wezembeek-oppem, Belgium - Team DialZoo has released DialZoo 1.0, a new app that lets you call anyone by their email address, direct from your browser or your iPhone. As a webapp, dialzoo runs straight from the browser (WebRTC), with no installation and no sign-up required. Type dialzoo.me/anyone@email.com into the browser's address bar, or in the form field of the DialZoo home page, and a free call is placed to that email address. Add a dialzoo link to your website, social media post or email signature and anyone can call you instantly with a simple click.

As an iOS app, type the recipients email address in the form field of the DialZoo app and a free call is placed to their email address. Click on a DialZoo link from an iPhone (e.g. dialzoo.me/anyone@email.com) and the app takes over to place the call. Users who wish to receive the calls on their phone lines (landline or mobile) just link their phone number to their email address in DialZoo (App or Webapp); if not, the caller is invited to leave a DialZoo voicemail that will be forwarded to the recipient's email inbox.

Calls are always free for the callers. Receivers who wish to receive the calls on their phones simply add credits to their accounts (free credits available). Rates for receivers are extremely competitive (cheaper than skype) and fixed irrespective of where the call originates from as DialZoo will route the calls from a local Point of Presence to the phone.

Uses for DialZoo are multiple: drop a free voicemail to anyone in the world anytime; allow your customers or leads to call you for free (and at a very low cost to you) right from your website; receive calls on your phone without revealing your phone number; call home from abroad for almost nothing; forget phone numbers, just remember the email address!

As the dialzoo Webapp uses WebRTC technology, it is currently supported in Chrome and Firefox on desktops and in Chrome for Android smartphones. iOS devices use the iOS app. The WebApp project went live on the 28th of August 2014 in Beta to gauge public interest in the concept. Since launch it gathered more than 12000 users and a lot of buzz.
