Brooklyn, New York - Brooklyn Effects, a New York-based special effects company, has announced the release of 6 new film tool plug-ins for the popular Final Cut Pro X (TM) non-linear editing software. These tools include: a magnifying glass, burns effect, fisheye fixer, leveler, aspect ratio and lighting tools pack.

"Our Final Cut Pro X film tools can help both amateur and professional filmmakers polish and finalize their projects," said Jean Moore, CEO and owner of Brooklyn Effects. "All of these tools would be extremely valuable in any editor's arsenal."

From historical documentaries to sports broadcasts, Final Cut Pro X editors can draw attention to an important feature or detail on the screen using the Magnifying Glass Tool from Brooklyn Effects. The built-in, FCPX control panel allows users to adjust the magnification, shape and border of the glass.

Commonly seen in historical documentaries, the Burns Effect was designed to mix still imagery into a motion film by applying a slow zoom or pan to the images. With this effect, users can control the zoom, pan and twist of the camera in FCPX Viewer window.

Filmmakers can quickly and easily remove edge distortions created by wide angle or fisheye lens with the Fisheye Fixer from Brooklyn Effects. Users simply have to drag and drop this effect on top of their footage in Final Cut Pro X and adjust the strength of the distortion remover.

From horizon lines to title text, editors can keep everything in line with the Leveler and Guideline Tools from Brooklyn Effects. FCPX users can lay the Leveler Tool over your footage in the FCPX timeline to fix crooked footage; then, they use the Guidelines to make sure that their text is perfectly placed.

The Aspect Ratio tool can help editors create any screen ratio or pixel count you could ever want. This tool set also comes with an SD to HD converter for FCPX, which allows users to upscale their footage without having to stretch or skew the image.

Finally, editors can set the stage for your film in Final Cut Pro X using the 3D lighting tools from Brooklyn Effects. This collection comes with spot lights, point lights and lens flares that can be positioned and angled using on-screen control points.
