New puzzler, Tile Enigma, launches in the App Store January 15 - Published on 01/05/15

Pikaware announces their upcoming release of Tile Enigma for iOS devices. With every move, tiles flip over, revealing their reverse color. What sets this game apart from other puzzlers is the double-sided nature of the game pieces and its echo mechanics. Echoes are like ripples in a pond. Players make a move and the ripples continue to make additional moves. Sequence your moves carefully to take full advantage of echoes. Tile Enigma is available in the App Store starting January 15.

Portland, Oregon - Puzzle lovers will be put to the test this year with the release of Tile Enigma from Pikaware in the App Store on January 15. Fans of games like Cut the Rope, Lumosity, Strata, Chess, and Rubik's Cube have a new way to stretch their puzzle skills in 2015.

Double sided tiles live in a 2D world. With every move, tiles flip over, revealing their reverse color. What sets this game apart from other puzzlers is the double-sided nature of the game pieces and its echo mechanics. Echoes are like ripples in a pond. Players make a move and the ripples continue to make additional moves. Three echo types are introduced, beginning in World 2. Sequence your moves carefully to take full advantage of echoes.

There are 100 levels of increasing difficulty, divided into 5 worlds. Refine your tactics to solve increasingly challenging, larger game boards.

More challenging than matching games, Tile Enigma pushes one to plan a few steps ahead. John Z., one of the early beta participants stated, "You can look at the entire problem, literally hold it in your hand and take it all in with a single look, but spend hours untangling it." Players can slide tiles, or invert whole rows or columns by tapping two tiles simultaneously. Brent Fisher from JustOkGamers explained, "the double finger tap is genius because it forces you to take ownership over the choice - you aren't blindly picking options."

Earn a better rating for each level by completing them quickly and in the optimal number of moves. Unlimited retries allow players to search for the most efficient solution without penalty or add extra moves to levels that prove too challenging.

Device Requirements:
* iPhone, iPad and iPod touch
* Requires iOS 8.1 or later

Pricing and Availability:
Tile Enigma is free and available worldwide exclusively through the App Store starting January 15, 2015. Two worlds (40 levels) are free to play, and the remaining three worlds (60 levels) are available for USD $1.99. Each level is solvable in the number of moves allotted for the level. Replay levels until you find the optimal solution, or blaze through difficult puzzles with extra moves. Twenty extra moves come with the game, and additional moves are available for purchase.
