London, United Kingdom - OnDemandWorld have officially celebrated the 1 millionth download of their Chinese Learning Apps. Launched just under three years ago, the suite of apps helps students of all ability levels learn Chinese and pass all the key tests, including the HSK exams.

Edward Tsang, CEO of OnDemandWorld stated on Thursday, "The success of our Chinese Learning Apps has been phenomenal and their usage has gone from strength. Hitting the 1 million download mark has proven how successful they really are. There are many new apps planned for the future and we are excited about where this will lead for our Chinese Learning Apps."

This was backed up by Terence Lau, VP of OnDemandWorld, who pointed out that 2014 saw the user count doubled to reach the million milestone. This includes the newly launched social learning network, Chinese Corner, which is now actively in use by over 20,000 users dedicated to learn Chinese and exchange Chinese culture, an amazing accomplishment by any standards. Throughout 2014, there has also been a major upgrade to Pinyin Chart, the release of various new Vocab List and Flashcard apps' content, as well as Chinese handwriting learning technologies. All these help learners at different stages of their Chinese learning.

Tsang commented that the clear next steps are to expand the user base to 2 million and beyond in 2015. "I'm proud that the apps offer so much to the users and are renowned for their ease-of-use. Ultimately, learning a new language brings people together and drastically improves their life opportunities. It's satisfying to play a part in that for so many people."

The phenomenal success of the Chinese Learning Apps during 2014 can only mean the apps will continue to grow in popularity, and future plans include the launching of many new apps and upgrades to existing apps. 2015 should see a huge increase in users as the popularity of the Chinese Learning Apps continue to expand and grow.

Future plans for new Chinese Learning Apps include new Dictionary Apps, Multilingual app versions that expand beyond just English to Chinese, new Chinese Learning videos and many more.

Commenting on plans to launch a brand new series in which Chinese students in China can learn English, Tsang said "Catering directly for the Chinese market is an exciting opportunity for us to not only make inroads into an enormous new market, but also it will enhance the value of our social learning platform as we pursue our vision of connecting native Chinese and English speakers directly together. We very much look forward to what 2015 hold for our Chinese learning apps."
