Quechee, Vermont - Quechee, Vermont - PFiddlesoft has announced the release of version 1.1.6 of Applidude(TM), the first application in the PFiddle Collection. This version of Applidude emulates the new vibrant appearance of Apple's application switcher when running under OS X 10.10 Yosemite, including changing its appearance when Yosemite is running in Dark Mode. In addition, it includes code improvements and fixes a few minor bugs.

Applidude floats over your screen and reminds you which application is currently active. This is invaluable information - not only if you have a short attention span, but also if you have the ability to concentrate all too well. If you often overlook the name of the active application at the left end of the menu bar, you will find it harder to miss Applidude's large display of the active application's icon and Applidude's optional voice announcement every time you switch applications.

Visit the PFiddle Collection website now to watch a video of Applidude in action. (Requires Safari or another browser that can display QuickTime HTML5 video elements.) Download a free, full-featured 30-day trial version of Applidude 1.1.6 now at the Pfiddlesoft website.

The PFiddle Collection is a growing collection of useful and pfun Macintosh software. Buy the collection once for $4.95 US, and enjoy any and all applications in the collection, now and in the future, without additional charge.

The second application in the PFiddle Collection, Waccy Accy(TM), was released late in 2010 and updated today. Waccy Accy is a game based on Apple's Accessibility API that is pfun for all users, including users with impaired vision. The third PFiddle, Pointer Noodge(TM), was released in the spring of 2011 and updated today. Pointer Noodge slows down the system pointer, removing mouse, trackpad and trackball acceleration so you can place the pointer exactly where you want it in any application, and it includes many other useful ways to make the pointer more useful.
