Bird Flight! - New Game offers a Refreshing Twist on the Flappy Games - Published on 03/19/15

Lazy Days, LLC introduces Bird Flight! 1.0, its newest game developed for iOS devices. In Bird Flight!, players tap to move the bird up and release to let him fall in the effort to make it through as many doors as possible. Players have to be skilled to make it through the narrow openings, but they also now must be quick to choose the top or bottom opening. Featuring very minimalist graphics and one-touch controls, Bird Flight! offers Flappy-style gameplay, Game Center support and more.

Lansdale, Pennsylvania - Lazy Days, LLC is proud to announce the release of Bird Flight! 1.0, its newest game developed for iPhone and iPad devices. The gameplay is similar to Flappy Bird, where the user taps the screen to move the character up and releases to let the character fall. The moving obstacles offer a unique challenge because not only does the player have to be skilled to make it through the narrow openings, but they also now must be quick to choose the top or bottom opening.

"I actually developed the main mechanics for it while designing a revolving door for a different game," said designer Chris Allan. "A light bulb kind of went off, and I decided that it could be a simple iteration to the basic Flappy-style gameplay that would add another element and challenge to the mix."

The controls are one-touch, tapping to move the bird up and release to let him fall. The main difference is the moving doors, so that upon reaching each new "level" the player has to choose whether the top or the bottom opening will allow them to pass. The scoring is simple: make it through as many doors as possible without dying (if you touch a spikey tree you die). Each door successfully passed is worth one point. The graphics are very minimalist, with the boxy-looking bird, simple backgrounds, and for the obstacles, different colored, spiked "tree limbs"

Though it is more or less an endless gameplay, color changes to the obstacles are incorporated to indicate progress in the game. As you move forward in the game and the colors change, the variability in the obstacles also increases, making each colored zone a little bit more challenging, until you get to the RED WORLD which is endless and the highest degree of difficulty. The player also has the option to warp back and forth from the WHITE WORLD to the RED WORLD if they desire.

* One-touch controls
