San Francisco, California - Tumult Inc. has released Hype 3.0 and Hype Professional, a major update to its award-winning HTML5 animation builder for OS X. On many accounts, 40% of all website traffic is coming from mobile devices. The need to develop sites and advertisements that display appropriately across a wide range of devices has become centrally important to web designers. This task is commonly referred to as Responsive Web Design. Hype Professional includes Responsive Layouts as an intuitive way to build content at various breakpoints so the layout is always crafted and optimized for the correct scene. Resources and animations can be shared, which significantly minimizes the amount of time spent on designs.

Hype Professional also contains many more breakthrough features. Physics-based animations are a first for an HTML5 design tool; they allow natural motion and collisions without keyframes or code. Symbols are a new way to reuse content and manage complexity. Editable timing functions allow designers to create their own easings between keyframes, which is especially useful for app prototyping. A dark UI theme is also included, allowing pros to focus more on their content without distraction.

Tumult Hype 3.0 (Standard) is a free upgrade for Hype 2.x owners. This update, the base of Hype Professional, elevates animated web content with more timing functions and web accessibility support. Hype 3 features a striking user interface redesign, tailored for OS X Yosemite.

Tumult Hype is primarily targeted at designers wanting to add effects to their sites, developers who need to make content for iOS devices, and HTML5 coders looking for more effective ways to improve interactivity. It supports the latest HTML5/CSS3 features and uses an intuitive keyframe-based animation system with a recorder to create impressive motions and transitions. No coding is required, though animations can be extended through a Javascript API.
