Shopular: Consumers Won't Get Fooled Again and Pay Full Price this April - Published on 04/09/15

Just in time for the start of April, mobile shopping app Shopular has released a seasonal study revealing that America's consumers have had their fill of "foolishly" overpaying at the retail check out counter. According to the survey, nearly 85 percent say that, come this April 1st, they "won't get fooled again" when it comes to paying full price at the top national brand stores they frequent - especially when they know that better deals and savings are available.

Redwood City, California - April is upon us - a time of year that kicks off the traditional Spring time shopping period filled with gift hunting for Moms, Dads and Grads. And, just in time for April 1st, that notorious day filled with unwanted pranks, top mobile shopping app Shopular has released a seasonal study revealing that America's consumers have had their fill of "foolishly" overpaying at the retail check out counter.

According to the survey, nearly 85 percent say that, this Spring season, they "won't get fooled again" when it comes to paying full price at the top national brand stores they frequent - especially when they know that better deals and savings are available.

According to Lee Senderov, Shopular's top marketing executive, consumers want better options - and browsing by mobile to find store sales in advance of retail purchasing is a great alternative. "We've all been there," explains Senderov. "You're in a hurry. You rush to the store without taking the time to comb through pages of print circulars to find that missing coupon...and you end up being gouged at the checkout counter for absolutely no reason at all. Shopular has a better way of saving consumers money - our mobile app is a virtual shopping companion scouting out the best deals at your favorite stores all the time. Wherever you are, whenever you're ready to save."

This Spring 2015, given the prevalence of mobile aids to assist in the retail browsing and saving experience, consumers will look to be more savvy than ever when it comes to not paying unnecessarily high totals at the register.

More than 90 percent of consumers polled plan to turn to mobile apps and other digital tools to find better savings - all part of a growing "go mobile" trend figuring prominently this year in the way that consumers and merchants are interacting and changing the retail environment.
