Apple recently released its "Everything Changes with iPad campaign" in the United States, with a great new film showing how the iPad has changed all of our lives. The file features Montessori Letter Sounds, an amazing phonics app published by French indie developer Edoki. It can be played in 5 languages: English, Spanish, French, Italian and German. More amazingly, this app offers a unique feature for children who want to learn another language. They can learn letter sounds in Spanish for instance but listen to the instructions in English. This means they are not dependent on an adult helping them, they gain in autonomy, an extraordinary self-confidence boost!

Based on sound games, this app teaches letter sounds using the Montessori Method. Children from the age of 3 can start by playing "I spy". They can then move on to letter sounds (phonics) and even write their very own first words using a movable alphabet. This app is a must-have for all children between 4 and 7.
