With the help of App Uninstaller you may also reset all application settings and launch it as a first time.

Categories of files that may be cleaned by App Cleaner:
* Application Support - files that an application creates and manages on behalf of the user. Also can include files that contain user data
* Plugins - components that add specific features to another application
* Shared - service files that are shared between users of the OS X
* Library - app-specific data and support files shared between other applications
* Growl - components that support notifications by Growl notification system in the application
* Caches - data that can be regenerated if needed
* Containers - home directories for any sandboxed applications
* Preferences - the user preferences files for the application
* Logs - log files for the console and specific system services
* As well as Cookies, Crash Reports, Preference Panes, Login Items, Dock Icon

The app also has specific features for better user experience. You may add applications to Skip Lists, notification option if application was removed and deleted not properly, select size of applications to be scanned, set of shortcuts, and more. Even though there are so many features, App Cleaner is still is a free app.
