Electronic Systems Innovation Ltd announces the release of Visual Currency Converter 1.1 for iOS devices. Using Visual Currency Converter is simple. Just place the banknote flat between the two red lines on the screen. The value of the note and the converted value will appear in the top right hand corner of the screen. Anything over 50% is considered a match. In version 1.1, the confidence indicator has been changed to percentage rather than decimal.

Chelmsford, United Kingdom - Electronic Systems Innovation Ltd is pleased to announce the release of Visual Currency Converter 1.1 for iOS devices. Using Visual Currency Converter is simple. Just place the banknote flat between the two red lines on the screen. The value of the note, and the converted value will appear in the top right hand corner of the screen. The currency to be recognized and the currency to be converted to can be changed on the setting screen.

Optionally, the currency to be detected can be set to automatic. The current GPS location is used to find the appropriate currency (e.g. Euros are detected if the user is in France). The confidence of the recognition of the note is shown in the bottom right hand corner. Anything over 50% is considered a match. In version 1.1, the confidence indicator has been changed to percentage rather than decimal.

The latest notes of each value of the following currencies is supported:
* Australian Dollar
* Canadian Dollar
* Chinese Yuan
* Euro
* Great British Pound
* Hong Kong Dollar
* Japanese Yen
* Malaysian Ringgit
* Mexican Peso
* New Zealand Dollar
* Singapore Dollar
* Thai Baht
* US Dollar

Currency rates are updated to the latest available from the European Central Bank every time the app is opened. The European Central Bank feed is updated every 15 minutes, so there are no surprises due to currency fluctuations. If an Internet connection is not available then the last recorded rates are used.
