Astreea Inc. introduces Cliick for iOS - Interactive Newsfeed - Published on 09/01/15

San Francisco based startup, Astreea Inc. has introduced Cliick 1.0.2, its new lifestyle app for iOS devices. Cliick is an interactive newsfeed that allows users to connect with like-minded people in their area organically as they browse through trending content. The app aggregates trending content continuously from major publishers currently in four categories. Popularity of each content is determined based on the number of likes/shares/comments/tweets it received on social media.

San Francisco, California - Astreea Inc, a San Francisco based startup, has launched their mobile app, Cliick, for iOS. Cliick serves users trending content and allows them to interact and connect with other users in their area based on their preferences and taste.

Upon sign up, users create a profile and specify their preferences as to whom they want to interact with based on gender, age and distance. As users browse through and view trending content, they can like or post a comment on content they find interesting. The app then shows their comments along with each piece of content content to users who meet their preferences and have a similar taste based on their past history of using the app. Each user can start interacting with another user by liking or replying to his/her comments in which case their response will be sent to the user who posted the comment as a private message. Cliick learns users' taste seamlessly as they use the app to match them with people who have a similar taste based on their history of using the app.

"Our goal is to bring the experience of meeting new people organically in real life to the virtual world of mobile in a meaningful and efficient way," said founder and CEO Moe Rafiee. "Cliick can be used for dating, making new friends and professional networking and it addresses two main deficiencies of apps that connect users with new people in their area: One-Superficiality and the amount of noise, Two-Lack of context."

According to Rafiee, the stuff one cares to read about, likes or reacts to is a great indicator of one's interests, sense of humor and personality. Cliick's algorithms use such data to reduce the noise and match users with those who have a similar "taste" and share their interests. "Cliick also adds context to the encounters. More precisely, it gives users an opportunity to talk about one or multiple topics of common interest to get to know each other beyond their basic profile info before investing your time in meeting in person," stated Rafiee.

Cliick aggregates trending (popular) content continuously from major publishers currently in four categories: Lifestyle, Sports, Science & Tech and Entertainment. Popularity of each content is determined based on the number of likes/shares/comments/tweets it received on social media.
