Independent developer, Tom Hoddes announces the release of MockingBird 1.0 for iOS devices. MockingBird focuses on relative hearing as opposed to absolute hearing. It does this by always giving users a reference note / chord before asking them to identify others. Listen to melodies and harmonies and play them back on the instrument of choice. Using an advanced learning algorithm, it will choose from hand tailored Ear Training exercises to create personalized daily lessons for users.

Toronto, Canada - Independent developer, Tom Hoddes is proud to announce the release of MockingBird 1.0 for iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch devices. MockingBird focuses on relative hearing as opposed to absolute hearing. It does this by always giving users a reference note / chord before asking them to identify others.

What sets MockingBird apart from other Ear Training programs is it's unique immersive experience with advanced learning algorithms. A user's progress will constantly be calculated as they work through the exercises. Progress will be used to create customized daily lessons, and users can view it any time along with their daily activity on the dashboard. If a user prefers to take control, at any time they can browse all available exercises and work through them in any order.

MockingBird also takes a departure from theory-heavy Ear Training techniques. With MockingBird anyone can choose an instrument, identify notes and chords by ear and locate them on a virtual instrument. Connecting the user's ear naturally to an instrument is central to MockingBird's approach. MockingBird currently supports Piano and Guitar with high quality audio and beautiful virtual instruments.

MockingBird 1.0 is absolutely free for launch. No ads, no in-app purchases, just free. It is available for iOS on iPad and iPhone worldwide. Upcoming features include pitch detection to play on your own instrument, more exercises, and more instruments.
