Valencia, California - Independent developer, Adrian Ramirez today is pleased to announce the release and immediate availability of Spiritual Me 1.0 for iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch devices. Spiritual Me is a great way for anyone to focus their mind, refresh their spirit, and maintain awareness of their emotions. The app guides users through a series of exercises allowing them to practice meditation, while being inspired by nature, art, and scripture. Each concise, meaningful exercise can be completed within a short period of time.

Spiritual Me allows anyone to take time out of their busy day, and spend time enhancing their spiritual awareness, and allowing them to refresh their mental and emotional fitness, leaving them ready to face the rest of their busy day. Users can select to view scriptures from the Tao Te Ching, Torah, Bible, or the Holy Qur'an, allowing anyone to make use of the app, no matter their spiritual or religious beliefs.

"I know that in the crazy, hectic world of today people have a hard time staying in touch with their inner, spiritual self," says developer Adrian Ramirez. "I designed Spiritual Me to be a convenient way for people to take a few moments out during their day to meditate, receive inspiration from art, nature, and scripture, and to refresh their spiritual and emotional selves before resuming their day-to-day existence."

To begin, Spiritual Me asks users to select their current state of mind and current emotion, enter a bad habit or attribute the user would like to improve on, along with other current feelings or goals. That completes stage one, and allows the app to understand the user's current status.

Stage two consists of a light exercise period, allowing the user to refresh their mind and spirit via a few simple exercises, such as yawning, deep breathing, rotating the head and shoulders, stretching, or even just wiggling of the fingers and toes. While performing the exercise, soothing sounds such as the sound of the surf rushing up onto the shore can be played. Users can also choose to exercise silently, which is handy for using the app in an office or other public setting. The exercise is finished up by the user closing their eyes and relaxing for a few minutes. This is a great coffee break exercise.

Users are then asked to focus in the present moment, by closing their eyes, but staying alert and listening to the world around them. Creative expression is the next step, when a short period of drawing a picture related to a specific theme on the screen is encouraged. The resulting drawing can then be saved as an image, or shared with others via text message, email, Facebook, Twitter, and other popular social networks.

The next stage involves divine inspiration. The app displays a quote from the user's selected books - including the Tao Te Ching, Torah, Bible, or the Holy Qur'an - and then asks them to close their eyes and ponder it. The following exercise encourages the development of the art of patience, as users attempt to balance rocks on the screen without giving into frustration.

As a final step, users are asked to re-evaluate their state of mind by selecting a shape that now reflects their mood, as well as their current emotion; then they are asked to enter a positive word they now see in themselves, or that they now identify themselves with.

As Spiritual Me guides the user through its easy to follow exercises and meditational moments, the app also keeps track of your progress, including the amount of time spent meditating, and conducting the spiritual exercises. This allows users to chart their progress, and view how their meditational exercises have progressed over time. Users can also unlock achievements, giving them a sense of accomplishment along their journey.
