New York, New York - Dissent Studios today is pleased to announce the release of Fusion Studio 1.1, a revolutionary new app for iOS that allows anyone to use the songs on their mobile device as backing tracks for their own vocals or instrumentation. The app also offers instant access to thousands of karaoke tracks from iTunes to get the creativity flowing.

While the idea of recording music with just an iPhone using backing tracks means anyone, anywhere can create entire albums, the app was originally designed for a narrower audience.

"At first, I wanted to create an app for serious musicians like myself," says Fusion Studio's creator, Gary Atkins. "But as I continued to play along with it, I realized I could open this app up to non-musicians as well"

The result is Fusion Studio, which lets would-be rock stars sing or play along with any audio track. The app is especially fun for those who like to sing out loud to their favorite tunes. Users can use tracks on their device, or download karaoke or backing tracks instantly from the iTunes Store without leaving the app. Recording begins with just a tap.

Fusion Studio also boasts powerful features for musicians. These include reverb, delay, and distortion effects, individual track volume and pan, as well as multi-track recording with up to 16 tracks per song. Once all of the song's active and backing tracks are recorded, they are mixed together to create a single master mix - all in just seconds.

In addition to allowing users to record their own tracks, the app provides the ability to create an album composed of multiple songs, as well custom art for album covers. Users can use their own artwork, or unlock premium album covers for a small fee.
