DEVONthink 2.8.8 improves Tinderbox integration and more - Published on 12/01/15
DEVONtechnologies, LLC updates all editions of its intelligent information and document manager DEVONthink as well as the smart notebook DEVONnote. No other document management app on the Mac gives its users so much flexibility and control over their data. DEVONthink 2.8.8 improves integration with Eastgate's Tinderbox and makes working with PDFs more comfortable. All editions fix a number of issues, e.g. with OS X El Capitan. The updates are free and recommended for all users.
Coeur d'Alene, Idaho - DEVONtechnologies, LLC updates all editions of its intelligent information and document manager DEVONthink as well as the smart notebook DEVONnote. The update of DEVONthink and DEVONnote to version 2.8.8 comes right in time for the Eastgate's release of Tinderbox 6.4. Users can now paste multiple copied notes from Tinderbox to DEVONthink 2.8.8 including tags. They become plain or rich text notes depending on the pasted contents. Backlinks make navigating back and forth between the two applications easy.
DEVONthink 2.8.8 also improves handling of PDF documents. DEVONthink Pro and Pro Office reuse existing groups when importing contacts. Created groups appear immediately in the recent destinations. For bookmarks and clicked links DEVONthink Pro and Pro Office 2.8.8 use downloaded offline archives when there's no internet connection. DEVONthink Pro Office's built-in web server now lets also Firefox display PDFs. This makes it a lot more comfortable to use e.g. from Windows PCs. The update also fixes a number of issues, some of them related to OS X El Capitan. DEVONnote received an update to version 2.8.8, too, with better VoiceOver support and bug fixes.

All editions of DEVONthink as well as DEVONnote require an Intel-based Mac and OS X 10.8.5 or later (in the App Store: OS X 10.9 or later).
