App Developer Wasabi Productions Launches One Giggly Gorilla - Published on 05/04/16

Wasabi Productions today releases One Giggly Gorilla 1.0.3 the sequel to its highly acclaimed Ten Giggly Gorillas for iOS. This delightful, child-safe app lets kids help one, then two, three, four & more gorillas get to the bananas at the top of the tree. The fun is in catapulting each gorilla up to the branch above. And the learning is in listening to and learning to follow the instructions in the narration, recognizing colors & numbers and using simple logic to help the gorillas on their way.

Sydney, Australia - Wasabi Productions today launches One Giggly Gorilla 1.0.3 for iOS, sequel to the highly acclaimed Ten Giggly Gorillas, which was a Finalist in the Publishing Innovation Awards 2012 and Recipient of the QED seal of approval. This delightful app is 100% child-safe with no in-app purchases or ads, delivering a guilt-free way for parents and teachers to entertain and educate preschoolers.

As with other Wasabi books, the words are integral to the interaction and so readers, or listeners, need to pay attention and follow the instructions as they help the gorillas achieve their goal. It has a game-like feel, where each page has a riddle that needs solving before you can progress. The app is laugh out loud fun and along the way, little ones learn about sequencing, colours and counting to ten without even realising it.

Graham Nunn, Creative Director for Wasabi says, "We hope this new app will become a favourite for children around the world and that they improve their fine motor skills, sequencing, counting and colour identification, giggling and smiling as they go!."

Carisa Kluver of Digital Storytime, says, "Every digital book from this team shows thoughtful crafting, considering both the user experience and developmental needs of children in general. What they've achieved in this app shows many years of evolution in their thinking about interactivity, with great results. The sophistication of the storytelling will be rewarded by children who want to read and re-read this storybook often...Highly recommended!"

One Giggly Gorilla represents a new breed of interactive book that is built in Unity3D and takes place in an exotic jungle-world. It's an exemplar of where digital publishing for children is heading, into immersive and sensory reading experiences that unfold through interaction and are steeped in age-appropriate educational benefits.
