AIS announces +Drone 1.6 for iOS, and Android devices. The sky is filling up with drones and we hear weekly about near-miss collisions in the air between drones and aircraft, airports closing down because drones fly too close, high numbers of reporting about unwanted events between drones and commercial air traffic. The innovative +Drone app that shows worldwide where there is drone activity at all times. The app has only been out for 2 months but already has users on all continents.
Alesund, Norway - AIS (Arctic Innovative Sollutions) is proud to announce the release of +Drone 1.6 for iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, and Android devices. +Drone is the new Drone app that focus safety in the air, and is a tool to prevent accidents in the sky between drones and airplanes, helicopters (air traffic in General). It shows worldwide on the app drone map where there are drones flying worldwide.
The app has several other features together with the drone map, like No Fly-Zones, Solar info and Weather forecast. Our team is working with the development of the +Drone app and are now working towards the next big update that will implement even more exciting features to the app. The app is available for both iOS and Android.
Knowing that drones are filling up the sky, the sale of drones have exploded last 2 years the subject of drones crowd up the sky is something that the FAA, EASA, CASA, CAA, JARUS and all others talk about nowadays. The FAA predicts by 2020, 7 million drones will be in the air.
Having said that, drones sold by the years 2017, 2018, 2019 and 2020 may reach up to 2.3 million, 2.9 million, 3.5 million and 4.3 million respectively. Such numbers are for drones used by hobbyists or what is also known as model aircraft.
The number for commercial, non-model aircraft is a much lesser. FAA predicts that these types of drones will have higher sales, with 0.6 million and 2.5 million for the years 2016 and 2017 respectively; 2.6 million each for the years 2018 and 2019; and 2.7 million units in 2020.
