JustSeen introduces collaborative visual storytelling - Published on 10/24/16
JustSeen 2.2, the latest photo-sharing App for iPhone, addresses the issue of social media isolation by introducing collaborative, curated and connected visual storytelling. JustSeen offers an easy way to create and build great stories with photos and videos to share with the world, or just your close friends. The app lets you have both followers and friends. When users follow each other they become friends and then you can share privately just to them. Version 2.2 offers new design features.
London, United Kingdom - JustSeen 2.2, the latest photo-sharing App for iPhone, addresses the issue of social media isolation by introducing Collaborative, Curated & Connected Visual Storytelling. Rather than simply posting the occasional, somewhat random photo, JustSeen advocates visual storytelling, where every photo forms part of a greater story, building a deeper visual narrative. In today's digital drive-thru, the speed and nature of visual consumption has altered the core objective of photography. JustSeen aims to re-introduce visual fine dining.
"Currently, almost all photo apps seem geared towards rapid viewing - too fast in my opinion, explains Karim Halwagi, JustSeen founder. "Quick snaps are posted, but almost as soon as they appear, they're gone, washed away in the fast flowing current of the social sharing river. Where's the real appreciation for photography, amateur or professional, gone? Photos are meant to capture moments forever, but with current platforms, how often do you even look for older posts? With JustSeen, we wanted to give users the chance to still enjoy individual moments, but as part of a bigger story - maybe you see a friends' picture from the end of their holiday, but what about the rest of that trip? Wouldn't it be great to click and see the full story, beginning, middle and end? And without having to filter through other unrelated images. That's what visual storytelling offers and that's why JustSeen was created."
JustSeen also introduces a novel approach to the issue of "Friends" versus "Followers" in that users can have both. JustSeen users who follow each other become "Friends" and this then allows for added functionality. Not only can posts and stories be shared privately just with "friends," but users can also invite their friends to join and contribute to stories they create.
The latter concept really forms the core of the JustSeen ethos. Halwagi feels this feature will set the scene for the future. Karim commented: "Almost all social media activity today can actually be quite lonely. What I mean is that the term 'social media' is kind of ironic, as it can cause more isolation than anything truly social. I think the future of digital is, and must be, collaborative, where users can create content with, and for each other. The rest of the world's opinions then become a secondary concern - no need for that elusive "hero shot," JustSeen's all about engagement in one way or another. Friends engaged with each other, brands engaged with their communities, people teaming up to create and share visual experiences. Imagine a family who can share a story and stay connected through their posts, or a business that can enjoy direct engagement with their audience by directly inviting them to join and contribute to their brand visual narratives. That is where we see the
future. JustSeen is truly Visual Storytelling... Together."
