ChronoSync Now Supports Backblaze B2 Cloud Storage - Published on 04/18/18
Florida based Econ Technologies today announced that ChronoSync owners can now use the highly desirable Backblaze B2 Cloud Storage service as another option for cloud backup. ChronoSync is the multipurpose app for local and cloud backup, bootable clones, and folder synchronizing. ChronoSync can synchronize or backup to most anything you can connect to your Mac, including folders on your Mac, other Macs, PC's, and external drives.
Casselberry, Florida - ChronoSync, the first choice for reliable Mac Backup, Bootable Backup and Folder Synchronization, now offers direct connections to the cost efficient B2 Cloud Storage service offered by Backblaze. So, in addition to Amazon S3, Google Cloud, and SFTP-based services, ChronoSync owners can now use the highly desirable Backblaze B2 Cloud Storage service as another option for cloud backup.
Duilio Proni, President of Econ Technologies, Inc. said "We wanted to make our B2 support robust and flexible. We make sure ChronoSync fully preserves all file attributes and metadata, including resource forks! Since ChronoSync is placing files up in B2 in a non-proprietary format, files can be accessed by any B2 Cloud Storage client."
"We are thrilled to have B2 supported as a storage destination by ChronoSync." said Backblaze Vice President of Marketing Ahin Thomas. "We've already heard from customers that are excited to benefit from ChronoSync's robust service while taking advantage of B2's performance and pricing. B2 Cloud Storage is 1/4 of the price of Amazon's S3 - customers using B2 as their storage destination are empowered to do more with their data without worrying about breaking the budget."
Besides new cloud service support, ChronoSync 4.8.6 sports additional backup efficiency, a new Dock Menu for quick access to frequently used windows and numerous tweaks along with a few bug fixes. The recently released macOS 10.13.4 update changed the way APFS volumes are initialized and mounted, resulting in additional tweaks to the ChronoSync Bootable Backup logic to continue our reliable APFS support.
Owners of ChronoSync can start using B2 Cloud Storage support free, with a simple download and update! If you don't already own ChronoSync, download today and start the 15-day free trial. Learn what it's like to receive significant new features free with each update by purchasing ChronoSync.
ChronoSync, the multipurpose app for local and cloud backup, bootable backup, and folder synchronizing, is designed to work on macOS version 10.10 and newer. Econ has produced software that runs on Apple products for over 20 years. Econ Technologies, Inc. was established in Central Florida in 1991. It is named after the Econlockhatchee River, which flows past the site of our original office where all of this began. On October 31, 2001 we introduced our first app, Portraits & Prints, that was developed specifically for macOS. We followed that up with ChronoSync which was first released February 15, 2002. Since that time ChronoSync has gone through numerous updates and we have never charged for a single update. On July 29, 2013 we launched InterConneX for the iPad followed by InterConneX for the iPhone in September. All Material and Software (C) Copyright 2018 Econ Technologies. All Rights Reserved.
