Funky Bots today introduces BoomKLAKers 1.0, its first educational app for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch. Perfect for toddlers, BoomKLAKers features animated monsters that help show kids how to "feel the beat" by associating musical beats with movement. BoomKLAKers features animated monsters that help show kids how to "feel the beat" by associating musical beats with movement. This is one of the basic principles for understanding music and dance. Babies are born with this skill innately. If they learn to feel the beat, they can dance forever. It is a skill that stays with them their entire lives.
BoomKLAKers is first app that shows kids how to See and Feel dance! Inspired by streetdance, martial arts and cirque acrobats, this app features monsters that do wall flips and pop to the beat of the music. The music is the most unique sound you will hear in a kids app, featuring 13 unique tracks created by French beatboxer/musician Teddy Guilbaud. The monsters all live in their own special worlds so the seven-eyed monster is in stereo land while the blue dinosaur guards the blue crane.

Based in Antwerpen, Belgium and Los Angeles, USA, Funky Bots was founded in 2014 by Rosa Mei. The Funky Bots team is made up of professional performing artists (dancers, beat makers, musicians and martial artists) who are also parents who want kids everywhere to know and love movement and music. Rosa Mei is a choreographer, dancer and martial artist. Artistic Director of Cie 13 (Belgium), she holds an MFA in dance and speaks seven languages. In New York, she created designs for the NBA, NY Knicks, MSG and MTV. In Europe, she has made over 30 pieces for stage and performed in 22 countries throughout the world. She is a proud mother of twins. Originally from Nantes, France, Teddy Guilbaud is a beatboxer extraordinaire, percussionist and jazz musician (sax, flute, bass and piano).
