Users can browse the texts and copy selections to their own documents. Version 1.5 introduces many new enhancements as well as new features.

Chicago, Illinois - Davka Corporation has announced the release of Davka Hebrew Writer 1.5, a major update to its popular Hebrew-English word processing app for the iPad, iPhone, and iPod touch. Davka Hebrew Writer 1.5 includes a unique Hebrew Text Library feature, which provides access to the Hebrew texts of the Bible, Mishnah, and Talmud. This feature is especially useful for students of the Bible and Jewish law, who need easy access to these texts for reference purposes, as well as for insertion in their own documents.

The Hebrew text of the Bible includes the 24 books of the Hebrew Bible, from Genesis through Chronicles. The Mishnah and Talmud are two of the central texts of Jewish law, and are provided with their individual tractates and chapters.

Using the Text Library feature, users can easily navigate to individual books and chapters of the Hebrew Bible, as well as to tractates and chapters of the Mishnah and Talmud. Text from these books can be easily inserted into documents via the app's 'Insert Selection' command.

Davka Hebrew Writer is a bi-directional Hebrew-English word processing app designed for writing in Hebrew, English, or a combination of both languages. It is ideal for teachers and students who need to write in Hebrew and English, and its ability to add Hebrew vowel points makes it valuable for those that need to write pointed Hebrew text.

Davka Hebrew Writer includes ten Hebrew fonts, ranging from a traditional Torah-scroll style to modern and decorative styles, and it can automatically insert the correct Hebrew or English date into documents. Davka Hebrew Writer integrates with iCloud, so that users can work with the same documents on multiple devices at different times.
