German start-up Lifestream Creations introduces the Orwell app, a truly different mapping application. Using the iPhone's GPS, Orwell displays surveillance cameras nearby. Using the iPhone's GPS service, Orwell displays surveillance cameras nearby. Featuring an eye-catching and yet alarming interface, simple controls and a custom map design, the Orwell app demonstrates that the surveillance society, as described in George Orwell's "Nineteen Eighty-Four," is now not only a science fiction scenario. It is indeed our reality, as surveillance cameras continue to pop up and watch our every move. Orwell helps to observe the observers!

Use Orwell at your current location or check for surveillance cameras anywhere in the world. A dark and menacing design with a specially-crafted map, interesting facts on electronic surveillance, a purchasable pro version, a customizable color theme and a simple guaranteed handling for the perfect user experience.

To use Orwell, simply open the app, enable the location service and see all recorded CCTV cameras near your position. You can also just scroll around with all common iPhone map gestures to search for cameras at any location you desire.
