Mystery Trip iOS App Now Available On The App Store - Published on 06/03/14

With funding from SellAnApp and development by Vedidev IT solutions, Australian Michael Rohr's concept becomes a reality. Based on the concept of orienteering, the Mystery Trip app uses social media and portable smart devices to help users plan and create their own mystery trip, anywhere they are in the world. Users can escape the beaten track and discover new places and share their own mystery trips with others. Sometimes the journey itself is just as important as arriving at your destination.

Port Macquarie, Australia - Throughout the ages, it has often been said by travellers that "getting there is half the fun," and that the journey itself is just as important as arriving at your destination. One new app, Mystery Trip aims to change that into "getting there is ALL the fun."

The Mystery Trip app uses social media and portable smart devices to help users plan and create their own mystery trip, anywhere they are in the world. Users can escape the beaten track and discover new places and share their own mystery trips with others.

Michael Rohr, the Australian who came up with the concept of Mystery Trip explains that "my core idea was for anyone in the world to be able to create their very own mystery trip in the location of their choosing." Fundamentally based on the concept of orienteering, Mystery Trip has updated this timeless skill for the social media age - showing just how social media can update and enhance old activities in new and fun ways.

The development and production of Mystery Trip in itself was a global adventure. The app received a successful funding of $17,865 at SellAnApp and was developed by Vedidev IT solutions. Collaborators in the Netherlands, Finland, Ukraine and Russia worked together to create a truly global app.
