Dr. Kalyan Kankanala announces his new book, How Many Are These? for eBook and paper back forms. The book is composed of short stories of blind protagonists and includes interesting encounters of visually disabled persons in India. The stories give a flavour of social and institutional responses to the blind in the Indian context. Dr. Kalyan Kankanala has announced that all proceeds from the book will go the Cane Foundation, a charitable trust founded to fight disability in all forms.

Bangalore, India - The long awaited Dr. Kalyan Kankanala's short stories of blind protagonists has been released. Entitled, How Many Are These?, the anthology includes interesting encounters of visually disabled persons in India. Drawn from true experiences, the stories give a flavour of social and institutional responses to the blind in the Indian context.

Talking about his book, Dr. Kalyan said, "I thoroughly enjoyed writing How Many Are These?, and am looking forward to feedback and reviews. In addition to the entertainment component, the stories have important messages about the blind, which I hope will make an impact on the reader and bring about change in the typical Indian mind set.
