Raleigh, North Carolina - Start with a fearless cat with a take-no-prisoners attitude. Next, give him a huge stockpile of bombs. Then, drop him into a battlefield full of mutant enemies. Finally, top it off with cool graphics and an awesome original soundtrack. Put it all together, and you have the brilliantly fun new iOS app Bomber Kat from Havefunsoft.

Based on the classic bomberman gameplay, Bomber Kat 1.2 is easy to understand, tough to master, and thoroughly addictive. That means users who expect to have a quick gaming session will probably end up playing for several hours. It's virtually impossible to put down.

As mentioned, the gameplay is easy: the aptly-named Bomber Kat is on a mission of total destruction, and his foes include all kinds of mutants that look kind of like a cross between Pokemon and aliens from outer space. Regardless of their origin, one thing is certain: Bomber Kat wants them gone.

To achieve this mission, users must navigate a maze-like battlefield filled with natural obstacles, such as rocks, shrubs and trees. Since the game features a top-view (a.k.a. "bird's eye") perspective, users can cleverly use these obstacles to hide from oncoming enemies - or even better, drop a bomb, run out of the way, and let the carnage unfold.

Different bombs have various effects. Some are conventional blow-'em-up bombs that get rid of enemies in the immediate vicinity of the explosion. Other bombs unleash a firestorm that can scorch several enemies. A counter in the top-left corner of the screen lets users know how many bombs remain in their arsenal.

Other Bomber Kat special features include:
* A campaign mode featuring 30 levels and cool cut scenes
* An endless battle mode in which users can collect gold pieces
* A countdown timer that adds to the challenge and excitement
* Game controller support
* Outstanding graphics, music and sound effects

"Bomber Kat is fun for everyone, and never gets boring because there's always another challenge ahead," commented Dmitry Boyarintsev of Havefunsoft.

* iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch
* Requires iOS8.0 or later
* 35.0 MB
