Announcing a new update for the successful "HeyMath! from Singapore", the iPad app contains math resources from the curriculum of Singapore. It brings students and teachers together across the world a large video lesson bank and an adaptive practice module for each topic. Version 2 of the app contains some welcome additions. The way children enter equations has also been simplified. The brand new report page lets parents and children see how many topics have been attempted & the progress made.
Singapore - HeyMath! has announced an update to their successful iPad app "HeyMath! from Singapore". Recognized as a Partner of the Academy of Singapore Teachers, with 12 years of experience working with some of the top schools in Singapore, HeyMath! has brought to the iPad a large bank of animated math videos and adaptive practice modules.
HeyMath! co-founder Nirmala Sankaran said, �We have fine-tuned our lessons over many years to perfect the pedagogy. We always show the best techniques and the most useful worked examples, using colorful animations to help bridge the divide between the visual and the abstract...Our practice modules contain an unlimited number of questions generated by smart algorithms curated by experts in the Singapore curriculum.� said Ms. Sankaran, elaborating, �...while each student sees different questions in a different order we ensure that all problem types in the curriculum are covered and the student learns to solve all of them.�
Along with the adaptive practice module and lesson video library, version 2 of the app contains some welcome additions. �We have updated the look of the app to be more appealing to children and easier to use. The way children enter equations in the practice has also been simplified. The brand new report page lets parents and children see at-a-glance how many topics have been attempted and the progress made in each,� said Ms Sankaran.
To help out larger families and homeschoolers, HeyMath! from Singapore now also allows for up to four children to use the app with their progress in each topic tracked individually. Ms. Sankaran believes that the app will be useful in many schools and homes across the globe. �HeyMath! has had very successful collaborations with school districts in Connecticut and Massachusetts, but I also know that there are lots more teachers out there looking for innovative lesson material, and many parents who want to give their children an edge in this globally competitive world,� she said.

HeyMath! from Singapore 2.0 is free and available worldwide exclusively through the App Store in the Education category. Anticipating the introduction of subscriptions in the near future, this version also provides additional security with a �Parent Zone� that keeps all the parent-focused aspects of the app away from children. Version 2 of "HeyMath! from Singapore" has been released as a limited edition FREE app in the App Store. It is shortly to become a subscription-based service, with a subscription to all grades starting as low as 99�.
