London, Canada - Developer Godhammer has announced a new action adventure game that challenges players with unpredictable enemy encounters and unique fighting patterns. Each level of ShadowPain surprises users with engaging battles against skeletons, knights and various bosses that stand in the way.

Players navigate the various realms of ShadowPain in 2D top-down view, one area at a time. During each random battle, players turn into a "shadow" to avoid damage, collecting gear from each slain enemy. Users can then visit an item menu to equip collected weapons, customizing the best options to slash their way to victory and prepare for each unexpected stage ahead.

"Many mobile games are based on memory rather than skill and coordination," said Kurt Mason, CEO of Godhammer. When you think about it, the user gameplay experience becomes mundane much more quickly. It was important for us to create a game with different elements to keep the game fresh and keep gamers engaged and entertained at the same time."

The main character objective is simple: advance as far as possible without being defeated. However, when the character dies they return to the beginning, only to level up various character stats. At this time, the gamers can add to a number of different categories, including: experience, health, food and power. The app also features a game center where players can compare scores on the leaderboard.

Features:
* Random levels
* Addictive gameplay
* Bosses
* Manageable stats
* Game Center

"The gameplay offers people some of the best features of retro titles with very significant twists," said Mason. "Defeat may mean that players start from the beginning, but it also offers the chance for the character to level up and creates more incentive for people to try again."

ShadowPain was developed for gamers looking to test their reaction time and quick thinking skills, offering a different experience with each session.

Device Requirements:
* iPhone, iPad and iPod touch
* iOS 5.1 or later
* Optimized for iPhone 5
* 263 MB

Pricing And Availability:
ShadowPain 1.0 is available now on the App Store for $0.99 (USD) in the Games category.
