Musical Pairs a memory game inspired by the memory card game Pairs, and uses sounds instead of card images to match, and is played solo. The app develops and sharpens the user's ear, musical memory and general memory, with a game of matching the pitches of pairs of notes and chords. There are 8 levels with 4 instruments and 3 pitch ranges, giving a range of challenges for all ages and abilities.

The app has been designed to be very easy at the entry level with quick progress through the early levels for more experienced users, which gives Musical Pairs its universal appeal. There are 8 levels with 4 instruments and 3 pitch ranges, bass, mid and treble over 5 octaves, giving a range of challenges for all ages and abilities from the complete beginner through to musician.

Mandala Trance was founded in 2010 as a creator of original music and visuals by Simon Laurence. Recently using those skills it has expanded into apps for mobile devices with Musical Pairs on iOS becoming the first product to market.
