GoPhrazy displays words of a famous quote or funny phrase and challenges players to solve each puzzle by tapping on each word in the correct order. There are hundreds of different puzzles to solve and players also have the option of creating their own puzzles.

GoPhrazy provides some simple guidelines to help the player solve each puzzle. First, the first word of the sentence is always capitalized. Next, the last word of the sentence always contains either a period (.), a question mark (?), or an exclamation mark (!). If semicolons are present, they are only used in the middle of the sentence. When the puzzle is solved correctly, it will display who is credited with saying the quote or saying. If the puzzle is incorrect, the words become red.

There are 5 different modes of gameplay in GoPhrazy: Main Gameplay, Fortune Cookie, Puzzle Post, Social Puzzles, and Compose Puzzles. In Main Gameplay, puzzles are randomly displayed and must be solved. Completing puzzles can earn achievements and unlock additional features and rewards. Players can also favorite a puzzle by tapping the heart after they solve the puzzle.

All puzzles are kept in the Puzzle Book, which is accessible from the Main Menu. The Puzzle Book has a tab for all puzzles solved and a tab for the puzzles that have been favorited. From within the Puzzle Book, players can tap on the a puzzle to play it again or share it with friends.

Fortune Cookies are personal horoscopes or daily tips that the player must solve. A new Fortune Cookie is made available at midnight each day. By completing a Fortune Cookie, players can earn rewards like Skips and Hints that they can use later. GoPhrazy notifies players in the morning when a new Fortune Cookie puzzle is available and also sends a notification in the evening if the player hasn't yet completed the puzzle. GoPhrazy notifications can always be turned off in the Settings menu.

Puzzle Post is a free set of puzzles released weekly. Usually, these puzzle sets are based on a theme and can contain anywhere from 8 to 10 puzzles. New Puzzle Posts are released every Wednesday and can be solved to earn additional rewards.

GoPhrazy contains several ways to interact with friends through Social Puzzles. Players can send any puzzle along with a personal message to their friend via Facebook. The friend will receive a notification and can solve the puzzle. Players can challenge their friends to see who can solve the puzzle and compete for the top spot. GoPhrazy is also Game Center-supported and allows players to compare their high scores and achievements with each other. Another social aspect of GoPhrazy is the ability to share screenshots of the game by E-mail, Facebook, or Twitter.

GoPhrazy also allows players to compose their own puzzles and send them to friends via Facebook. After connecting to Facebook, players can create a puzzle that contains a minimum of 3 words and a maximum of 19 words. There is also a 90 character limit to the puzzle and the sentence must end with a period (.), question mark (?), or an exclamation mark (!). GoPhrazy does not automatically post anything on behalf of the player without permission.

In the event the player cannot solve a puzzle, GoPhrazy offers many options. The player can always use one of their allotted skips to complete the puzzle at a later time. All skipped puzzles are stored in the Skipbox. There is a 5-puzzle limit to the Skipbox. When it is full, players can either upgrade the size of their Skipbox via in-app purchase or solve some of the puzzles to clear out the Skipbox.

GoPhrazy also allows players to use a Hint to solve the puzzle. For a hint, the player must choose a word that they think will help them reveal the structure of the sentence. Once a hint is selected, every subsequent word tapped by the player will be placed on the correct side of the hinted word. By splitting the puzzle into two, players can more easily solve the puzzle.

Although players are initially awarded 3 Hints and 3 Skips when they begin to play GoPhrazy, Hints and Skips can be earned by solving the weekly Puzzle Posts and Daily Fortune Cookies. Players can also obtain Hints and Skips via in-app purchase.

The first 50 puzzles of GoPhrazy are free. Afterwards, GoPhrazy will prompt the player to purchase a pass for the next set of 50. Players have three options at this point. They can:

* Buy a pass for a modest in-app purchase amount
* Invite 2 friends from Facebook to unlock the next set of puzzles
* Wait until the next day for 3 free puzzles plus a Fortune Cookie

"The idea for GoPhrazy came while teaching an English as a Second Language course in Italy," explains Leonardo Amigoni, founder of Mozzarello. "During one of my classes, I was doing some of the exercises in a book with my students. One of the exercises asked the students to put the words of a simple sentence in the correct order. I thought, 'Wow, this would make a great exercise!' Last year, I made up a quick and basic prototype and gave it to my family members so they could experiment with it. They were immediately hooked and couldn't stop playing.

He adds, "Over the past year, I've refined GoPhrazy into the fun and challenging game it is today. I intend to add new content weekly and an Android version is presently in development. Try GoPhrazy today!"
