BetterPet, Inc. first launched the Dog Land iPhone app for dog owners to share photos of their beloved pooches and find convenient pet services nearby. Now with private messaging, scheduling doggie play dates has never been easier. Dog Land users aren't just limited to their local network either; they can also connect with dog lovers from around the world.
Dog Land is the ultimate dog lover app. It includes easy navigation and beautiful themed design to deliver the most useful information and the cutest photos. Dog owners can create personalized profiles, showcasing their dogs and their favorite pet locations. Users can follow other dog lovers, like (or "Dig") and easily share photos to their other social accounts.
More than a social network, Dog Land is also a useful tool that allows users to search, check-in (or "Mark their territory") and rate dog parks, pet stores, animal shelters, veterinarians, dog-friendly hotels and more. Dog owners can also vote on places and add helpful dog tips. With messaging, users can expand their pet network and chat with their favorite dog owners.

The inspiration for BetterPet, Inc. first came when Jonathan Kolker, CEO, got his energetic cocker spaniel, Eddie. While exploring Los Angeles with his new best friend, Kolker wondered which places were the most pet friendly. It was then that Kolker's childhood friend and now President & Creative Director, Gareth Wilson, suggested partnering to create a social network for dog lovers. Kolker, Wilson and CTO Richard Lung first launched the app, Where My Dogs At, which helped determine the ultimate feature set for their new app, Dog Land.
